    Lr45 contract

FlyContract.com has got a few pilots that are available, their rates and training dates. Check it out!

    Corporate Chief Pilot/Captain pay?

Definitely going to depend on the specific location. Rates tend to vary significantly from one city to another. Are you collecting résumés for the other positions yet?

    560 job

They are serious about the PIC time in the CE560XL type. I had a preliminary phone interview a few weeks ago, it was going well but with the lack of time in type (over a thousand in citations), the call was promptly wrapped up. Best of luck!

    GNS-XLS Question

If you have the patience, measure out the mileage from the nearest waypoint (YYYYY) from the intersection on the two airways to get a radial/distance of where they intersect. In FPL, program the airway as you would normally, #JXX to that waypoint then enter an offset fix in the flightplan by...

    Rnp 4 loa

Did the FSDO require an Ops Manual for issuing your RVSM LOA too? That seems weird. Maybe they are switching over to the MSPECS issuance instead LOAs. (MSPECS are the part 91 version of OPSPECS) Good luck!

    Collins FMS 6000 training software?

Eric Berger will hook you up with some handouts and software for your specific installation. He sent me the program for the 3000 in the CJ and manuals for the XLS+ the day I contacted him. He is definitely very helpful.

    Will fly for food help

Googling the free part of the ad brought up CareFlite. Nothing listed for fixed wing pilots on their careers page, but if you're interested in applying, I would e-mail a resume to [email protected], ATTN: Pilot Recruitment or FAX to: 972-606-1027. Requirements in the past have been: Best...

Help me Design a Pilot Lounge

Oh yeah, and we need those over-sized Elite magazines to use as a laptop desk, or I suppose you could be like Hampton Inns and stock the lounge with a few of those too.

Help me Design a Pilot Lounge

I'm surprised how few pilot lounges have coat racks. Just a few hooks on the wall or back of a door would be fine.

    King Air Daily Rate?

That sounds about right for the SE Virginia area as well. Anywhere from $200 to $350 plus expenses. Try to get your day rate during your required 135 training too. Make a copy of your SIC 8410 for your own records, you may be asked for it to justify logging the SIC time in a single pilot...

    speed question

I would say 250 kias until you get into the surface area at 4 nm. No. Unless you are within the horizontal confines of the CRE class D at or below 2500' which is 9 to 14 miles northeast of MYR or, as stated already, within the surface area of MYR.

    Rnp

I worded that poorly. The upgrade does not have anything to do with RNP SAAR. It does qualify the box for BRNAV and PRNAV, which are not used domestically. It also addresses RNP for WATRS, but not RNP approaches. The big thing is that it is now compliant with AC90-100A and also has ILS...

    Rnp

The AC90-100A compliance mod for the GNSXLS is actually an upgrade for PRNAV capability which will also include a LOA and supplement for RNP. Domestically, the only RNP procedures are RNAV/RNP SAAR approach procedures (with RF legs, RNP 0.15 and cool stuff like that), so when you get the mod, it...

    61.129 (b)(4)

Somewhere in there, I believe the FARs say for solo pilot time to also be logged as PIC. Dual received in an aircraft the student (Sole Manipulator) is not rated in ie: Multi-Engine, should not be logged as PIC. Another example would maybe be an IFR student getting trained in a single (an...

    RNAV Arrivals in a turboprop

What kind of GPS do you have in the 1900? Is it approved for RNAV1 procedures per AC90_100A? Here is a link to the Compliance Table. There are some inspectors out there that actually take that sort of thing seriously.

    Why publish close-in obstacles

This comes from the website of CAVU Companies, creator of the EFBPro Aircraft Performance Calculator: In their "Aircraft Performance Calculations- Methods and Myths" video, they address, somewhere in the 1+15 presentation, close-in obstacles and figuring your net takeoff flight path to...

    prestosim Citation recurrent

And what seems to be the consensus in the contract world on Simcom? They have a good rate in SDL in a level B S550 and now I believe they have an Ultra in Orlando, as well as their flaky level C 550.

    RNAV Arrivals in a turboprop

That's a good question. I wouldn't worry about the turbojet only note. Just make sure your GPS is in fact approved for the RNAV1 procedures (KLN90Bs are not) and if you fly part 135, be sure you have C063 approved and you're trained on it. PJ
