    Why We Need the F-22

I think you have to look at who is funding our budget (debt). They don't want us to have any aircraft that we haven't already given them the secrets to for collateral on the loan. I don't think our government is calling all the shots...follow the money.

FedEX HKG LOA is out, and boy is it funny...

Our union doesn't need your vote to make changes, they've proven that. I believe that if they feel this LOA will not pass with a yes vote, they will word it so that a yes or no vote is actually that which approves the LOA. Or at least try to confuse the actual issue. Please vote yes or...

    FEDEX or Alaska?

I love this job flying boxes that Albie helped me get, and I was making six figures starting year 2, but I think that wave has mostly hit the beach. You're flying at a dream pax carrier getting more sleep in the same time zone. Personally, I wouldn't leave AK for FX or FX for AK, a "bird in...

Coast Guard is looking for fixed wing drivers

ck, Please don't tell me you went to the dark side. Those J's don't even sound like a real airplane, it's embarrassing. good luck!

    FedEx to get 757

Source told me we were getting around 37 of them for a "Song"

    FEDEX meet and greet

I know I have flown all month on the 27 as the only military background of the three. I have also noticed that in the past 4+ months that the second officers have had a civilian only backround by about 3 out of every 4 I fly with. This leads me to believe that at least the recent S/O newhires...

    FedEx requirements

Am I sponsoring your bud? I called and got the M&G appointment about 3 weeks ago. I don't think he had any LOR's online at the time. The appointment is for the sponsor, I don't believe the applicant even has to have an app in with FedEx, they didn't ask. I'll know more after Monday.

    FedEx MOAB is out (pathetic)

Okay who had 24 widebody captains on 31 March for the pool? Any guesses as to any MD11 FO slots coming in the same timeframe (May/June) from the newhire classes? It does look like they can't figure out the big one, so they have to do this to keep the pipeline moving.

    Independence Air Guys and Gals

I'm proud of FlyI, somebody had to stand up for the little guy against the big one. I've been in their pool since early 2003 when Dean H gave me the welcome call, so I had a dog in the fight. I ended up going to my second choice, where I would be glad to help any displaced FlyI types with an...

    FedEx Hiring News

OK, I have to jump in on this one. AJ and Albie are a major reason I made it through the process and now wear purple underwear. I'm sorry if someone had a bad experience, but I bet there's hundreds more like me that got their money's worth from Emerald Coast.

FLYi's business plan is falling apart (unfortunately)

I see alot of dread talk in relation to Indy Air. As an outsider looking in, I'm proud to see a company take a stand for principle, even if they had to take a few lumps. I see they are now flying the Air Bus, at least 2 with I think 10 total in the next few months, their load factors are...

    Independence Air A319 Rates Posted:

Pilot pool USC***, I e-mailed the new HR department last October (2003) and received an e-mail back saying the pool still existed. That was well after the Indy Air announcement so I assume it is still good. I also anxiously await the opportunity to leave this pool. CGflyer

    ACA poolies

Go to ACAForums.com. The pool still exists but as for hiring, the new airline has to be established/do well and then the furloughs have to come back first. Keep your fingers crossed.

ACA to UAL - Make the call

I think this is a good move by ACA, so they can plan for their own future. The article under-reports the ACA aircraft United Express utilizes quite a bit. I'm only in the pool, but believe that over 70 CRJ's and around 30 J41's are assigned to UAX. I don't see how any "new" partner could jump in...

    I'll take the freight pilot

quigs, I've flown in a cat 3 hurricane at 200 ft above the water to save lives and landed my 130k lbs Herc in a snow storm on a sheet of ice with 55kt quartering cross winds on the island of Attu Alaska, 2000 miles away from the nearest alternate, once again to save lives. But just like any...

    ACA Interviews?

Thanks for the info. I see allot of the new-hires are going to ORD, I'm hoping to eventually end up in IAD since I'll be commuting out of Norfolk for awhile. Any news on any expansion/pilot bases in the near future?

    ACA Interviews?

I interviewed Nov 6 and was told to expect March/April for training and that there were around 120 in the pool. I would be very happy for the attrition so I can get started. Anyone know how long the Reserve time is right now and roughly how many days a week? I hear allot of folks worrying...

    ACA interviewed 12-05-02

First off, congrats on your interview. I thought everyone has been saying no more interviews till March:confused: When did you get the call and what did they say about future hiring? To answer your question: If they file, and we all hope they don't, it'll affect everyone. My bet is that...
