Back the plane on ground using the thrust reverser.

Actualy, This can be done in any "Turbo-Jet". Your only real concern is FOD ingestion, Thats why you'll find that it is not approved for most jets since they tend to have underwing mounted engines which make FOD ingestion a real possibility. I have done this in a 727 (approved ) and in a DC-8 (...

    XJet lowers minimums to none

Better think again, Northwest Airlink did put a smokeing hole in the ground. Only they didn't kill 51 people, As you know only the two pilots were killed. had there been a full boat, You can bet that things would be very different at the commuter "puppy mills" P.S. Not slamming the Commuter guys...

    Flight Options Accident?

O.K. guys, This thing has been beaten to DEATH at least a dozen times! Obviously, Mr. Safetycheck has an AGENDA with the FLOPS guys! Did he get turned down for a job? Kinda makes you wonder? He seems to be quite obssed with the whole flops operation. He claims to be ex-TWA; was he as obssed...

    Ejm To Be A Union

Gunfyter; My apalogies for the rude reply to your post. It was uncalled for and I assure you, not my normal responce to a post on this forum. the "Emery" issue screwed a lot of good people. Once again my apalogies sir. :o

    Ejm To Be A Union

"Now how could Emery bust the unoin unless the pilots let them?" Gunfyter: Other than the dumb little fable you wrote, It's obvious you have nothing to contribute to this union issue. Do you really think that 500+ Emery pilots let the company "bust the union", put them on the street, sat on...

    Que for experienced crj pilots/IP's

You hit the nail on the head! Saber60, Bingo! thanks for your inputs, Thats exactly where I'm headed. Just got the job offer on Tues, and was assigned to the CL604. (nice ride) Anyway all the info that is available for systems study is for the RJ version of the a/c, And i wasen't sure how they...

    Que for experienced crj pilots/IP's

Thank you Sir. I appreciate your taking the time to respond to my question. I understand what you are saying about studying "gouges" for different a/c but, I suppose that the basic systems ( i.e, Hyd, Elec, etc; ) should be the same on such an a/c. However your point is an excelent one , and I...

    Que for experienced crj pilots/IP's

Question for anyone that has experience in either the CRJ-vs-CL604, is there a great differance between the two aircraft? Will a system training program meant for the CRJ200/700 be of any use to me on the CL604? I am planning on purchasing such a program that is only available for the CRJ...

    Using electric trim

If the Capt that you flew with wanted you to fly the a/c with the trim instead of as you were correctly doing ( i.e. set pitch, than trim out the control forces ) Maybe you should ask him/her where they learned to fly? Guaranteed they never flew a big airplane!;)

    Regionals hiring and foreigners

Hey myfpilot; Unless you are an Native American Indian, Than you too are a foreigner! So, stick your condescending ahole attitude in your back pocket! It's guys like you that make cockpits such colorful places at times.

    ACA CRJ Training

Pilotboys back ground; Flown--Cessna, Piper's Ratings--Comm, MEI TTL Time--1,500hrs While I think that quiting at the end of sim training was a very unwise decision on his part, You also have to look at what the commuters are doing by putting some one with his experience level into The CRJ...

    Glideslope and visual approaches

"It's slussy, you have a slight tailwind, and your reverser's are MEL'd " Given the above conditions you still want to land on that runway? one that is barely legal by 100'? ( your runway limited ) Dude, you need to work on your decision making skill's before you hurt yourself!

    FlexJet ?

Good question, It seems like Flex Jet is a huge mystery! Very little info on this company and, no one seems to want to talk about them. Is there any one on this board that works for them that would be willing to shed some light on this company, please? We all have an excellent picture of EJA...

    January SWA interviews

Hey Capt_ Crunch; Why do you want to leave EJA??????????? I would think that life cant be too bad there, Matter "o" fact, It's got to be 110% better than it was at EWA! You know you will be commuting again, And how about that RESERVE? mmm, mmmm, mmmm, Seriously whats up? regards your ex sim...

ALPA carriers (FEDEX this means you)

Yes, good advise. FedEx pilots, we at the other freight carriers saw you as "the premiere airline" in the freight industry. However, ALPA sees you like they saw us, just another "freight dog" outfit. Be careful who you get in bed with, before you know what the future holds. Take a very...

    Airtran vs ExecJet?

Having come from Valujet and Airtran being Valujet, wouldn't you have a better idea than anyone else of what it would be like to work there??????? Come on P.B. if you can't see the benefits of working at one verses the other, then my friend you spent way too many nights awake! But then again I...
