    Professional Courtesy

In 1998 I was flying a Baron for Airnet. I was based in Omaha and was fortunate to be able to jumpseat on Southwest and get home to Houston on the weekends. It was a major deal for me to be able to get back to the family and a wife who was just completing school at the time, even if for a couple...

How do I get my start in the Corporate World?

dont do this Not a smart idea. Being a low time pilot, you have many years until youll be able to pay off your debt. Most corporate positions will not pay much until you hit the 4000 TT 2000 ME 1000 jet mark. Most corporate flight departments fly 300-500 hours per year, so you are looking...

Would you do it all over again?

Six years of college, two degrees, 10 years experience, two divorces... If I were given the chance to do it all over again. I wouldn't change a thing.

    How Competitive is CitationShares?

Take it easy there johnson.. your gonna live up to your name. He said he had read their posted mins.. wanted to know if they hired below those.. I think it was a legit question as some do hire those without posted mins.

    How Competitive is CitationShares?

How to stay in aviation a little???

Pilots and depression: What to do?

Try lots of excercise and lay off the alchohol if you drink. Do a google search on 5-HTP and see if it might help you out. Its a cheap supplement, available at places like GNC. You would be amazed at what the excercise alone can do though.

the life as a "corporate pilot"

Sounds familiar Brings back some memories.. wouldnt happen to have been out of HOU would it? I used to fly for a guy that would fly pallets of grass for his yard and flowers to Aspen every spring. One time we had a load full of housplants and a toilet for his home there. The rampers called...

Live on TV!!! C-150 gear will not retract!!!

It was far to amusing to hear the "experts" on the news try to explain the goings on. "what hes going to do here is just circle the airport and try to get the gear pins down" CNN reporter to "expert"... "what EXACTLY is the captain telling the passengers at this point?" "if they land, wont...

    Attending my first job fair

I paid about the same 3 years ago to hear Kit Darby sell some books and "training". The companies that I showed up to see (the ones I thought Id be eligible for and were listed to show), came in the form of a basket which I was so glad to leave a resume in. I did get to speak with a Southwest...
