How long until pilots replaced with UAVs??

Interesting how the opinions divide on this. High-timers generally agree it's a non-issue, lower-timers see it happening in their lifetimes. FWIW, it'll never happen in the next 30 years!

looking for work in detroit area

Ha!! So true... Still the same management, just owned by a Ford now. Still a two-tier system, the 'favorites' get the plum jobs while the worker bees get the rest. Good pay and bennies, no camaraderie or loyalty. PM me for what I might've missed. (2 years with 'em.)

    Whad'ja do, watch Jeopardy?

    Roush racing

IIRC, it was an AirCam ultralight. (Hardly aerobatic.) Does JR still have the -51?

    Nasty Chief Pilots

I worked (!) at a place that went through 26 pilots in a 9-year period. We're talking a 3-airplane operation. The CP had been a CFI when brought on board, never flew corporate, freight, etc. Nothing wrong with that, but he had no depth - in anything. Very weak manager, and a twitchy pilot...

Anybody here fly a Citiation 3?

Never heard of a Citiation. ??? :erm:

Best light used jet for under 3 mil?

Don't get the 551 due to GW limit. Get a 550 with 13.3-14.1 GW and spend a few bucks for SP training and any needed mods. Also pretty easy to find back-up pilots when you need time off. The WW and Sabre could eat your lunch on maintenance if not taken care of. The 65 is a very capable and...

    Ultralights

Check out the Kolb Mark III Classic. Almost everyone who've tried the others (esp. the challengers and quicks) prefer the Kolb. The Rans series is hard to beat too. Go to matronics dot com and check out the user lists for the type you're looking for. Mucho first-person info. I own a Kolb...

    How's it taste?

2 broken vertebrae, broken scapula, broken pelvis, broken ribs, dislocated shoulder, and punctured lung. The site says 'out of gas', but it was most likely a lean run followed by an engine seizure. Very common with 2-strokes.

    Gyrocopters?

So why does such a big percentage of the pilots manage to kill themselves? Do you have any gyro experience? Not to flame, but the gyro/homebuilt helo segment has a pretty poor overall safety record. I've got a Kolb Twinstar MkII, the view is much like a helo or gyro. Stalls around 35-38...

    King Air needs Copilot? Insurance?

Years ago, we had an LOA from the FSDO allowing our 'insurance-required' FO's to log time under 135. Wouldn't hurt to ask your POI.

Payment to contract pilot for trip cacellation

I also agree with Rice. I do give 1 'freebie' to new clients. I had one client who had 5 cx's in a month, 2 of them were no-notice, aircraft and I were standing by with no call 30 mins. after proposed departure. Unreliable clients can eat into your revenue, while making you appear less...

    Hantz Group

The CP's a great guy, have known him several years. Sorry, don't know about the company.

Have someone clean the pi$$ out of it! ;)

    King Air Single Pilot?

Probably a pitot-static error. Unless they repealed those pesky laws of physics for you, of course.

    135 Scabs

Worked with 2 CP's like that, one was ex-mil and the other civvie, so any source can provide a hack. It takes a concerted effort by a majority of the crews complaining en masse to mgmt, but you can change it. As for the pay, we also had a situation where we were being bought out and pay was...

    King Air Single Pilot?

The 350 can be flown single-pilot with no more than 9 pax, no such limit on the 300. The 300 I flew had 10 pax seats, some can accomodate 14 but I've not seen one. 300's faster, too.

Non-paid MEL time builder LA CE-340

No, I wouldn't. And if you're "not saying it's right", exactly what are you saying? I think anyone who flies for such a dirtbag should himself be singled out and ostracized. The guy can afford the plane, let him pay a fair price for a pilot.

    King Air 300 Job Opeining

That's OK for copilots. But at 50K for a current captain, they must be nostalgia buffs.
