    Delta Connection incident in SAV...

Judging by the weather and news reports it doesn't sound like they landed on 18.. but instead were doing the ILS 36 and came to rest just off the approach end of runway 18. Coincidentally the terminal ramp is also located at the approach end of 18. It's possible that they went easy on the...

    Delta Connection incident in SAV...

ValuJet ran off of the same runway into the mud back in the mid 90's.

    Delta Connection incident in SAV...

    That's good to hear.

    Delta Connection incident in SAV...

Not sure how serious it is, but I'm being told that a Delta Connection aircraft of some sort has ran off of the runway in Savannah. Anyone know anything?

    Colgan 3407 Down in Buffalo

It sounds as though this liveatc feed is coming from a scanner that is scanning multiple frequencies (which is why you hear broadcasts from both Tower and Approach). The scanning of other frequencies could have resulted in transmissions being partially or entirely left out of this recording.

    Colgan 3407 Down in Buffalo

12 knots of wind combined with falling light snow equals blowing snow. But I agree with the last comment of your post.

    QX upgrade out of seniority

I agree with your intent, but a system that awards things based on merit is certain to become a system that awards things based on chronyism and ass kissing. I work hard, I do my job right.. but I'm not interested in playing golf with my Chief Pilot on the weekend to win an upgrade slot. It just...

    I miss the "'72"...

Sounds like you have experience with a lot of penises then. :)

    I miss the "'72"...

I love the people who put every model of RJ that they've ever flown in their little flightinfo profile... CRJ200/700/900/12000. RJ's are like penises. They're all basically the same.. some are just longer than others, and nobody cares if you've experienced them in all sizes.

Mesaba pilot arrested in Houston in child sex sting

If some TSA goon or passenger accuses a pilot of being drunk then guilt could definitely be questionable. If a 28 year old pilot travels halfway across the country and shows up at the home of a 12 year old he had been talking to via myspace and text messages... not so much.

    Experiences commuting on ExpressJet

It's not Kool-Aid.. it's just reality. I've always gone out of my way for jumpseaters, but there have been one or two times that I had to leave someone behind because of weight. What about the non-revs trying to get on as well? They are ahead of you in priority for those available seats but...

    Experiences commuting on ExpressJet

You implied that the agents are Continental employees. ExpressJet has very few stations where it's own employees are staffing the gates anymore. How is this comment in any way related to this thread? So you're suggesting that we leave revenue behind so that you can make your commute? I'm...

    Experiences commuting on ExpressJet

What reason are they giving you for being denied? I've commuted on Continental for almost 2 years and their crews are generally just as clueless as to whether or not I'm in the gate area.. but I've never been flat out denied unless there was a reason for it. If it's a weight restriction then...

US Air type in the Hudson?????????

Wow, kudos to the crew for a great water landing. Doug Parker needs to give himself another bonus for hiring those guys.

    44 Upgrades Posted at RAH

Been there, done that and I'm still happier at the airline. I guess all of the corporate jobs aren't so glamorous. Congrats if you found one of the good ones though.

    Gojet getting 50 seaters!

Also.. let's say, speaking hypothetically, that when you were at CHQ Mr. Bedford had decided to take all of those 170's and put them not only on a seperate operating certificate but hire seperate pilots with a seperate seniority list to fly them. Let's say this part of the company continued to...

    Gojet getting 50 seaters!

Funny how someone who was not so long ago flying the WSCoD for a regional airline suddenly thinks that flying a Boeing gives them the right to be condescending. Like it or not, we're all in the same profession together...

    Gojet getting 50 seaters!

If it's that serious of an emergency surely there are other means of getting home besides using the jumspseat. No sympathy... if I have a serious family emergency and the flights are full I'll figure out a way to buy a ticket if I have to.

    XJT pay concessions pass easily

I don't think that taking the comments of a few obnoxious pilots from flightinfo and saying that they represent the attitude of our entire pilot group is fair. You're welcome to search through my posting history and you will not see such comments coming from me concerning other pilot groups. Now...
