    Leaving Jetblue for anywhere

I stand by my quotes. And when I say that history may not repeat itself, I am referring to the "LCC" and Southwest. You ought not feel any safer at JetBlue. Look at what just happened to the Airtran pilots. The new Delta is different. And so is the new United and soon American. They no longer...

    Leaving Jetblue for anywhere

Those 10,000 number lists aren't that big when you consider what the lists looked like at peak before bankruptcies and consolidation. Never in airline history has there been so much change as there has been in the last few years. When you consider the number of retirements coming those lists...

    Leaving Jetblue for anywhere

Tailhookah, Don't you think that international exposure can also be a benefit, like portfolio diversification? What if something were to happen domestically? We'd all be hosed. I left JetBlue in 07 to go to Delta. Had I stayed, I'd be Captain at JetBlue but when I look at where I should...

    Delta 717's

I'm looking forward to leaving the 88 and going to the 717. It's going to feel like a brand new airplane and I might even be more senior. I'm betting that after several come on line that the flying will look very different than the dc9.

    some reported united contract details

This is brilliantly crafted to get passed by 51% with the old guys voting it in for their short term benefits. Delta passed by 63%.

    Delta reduction

No Bill, I don't want a brawl. I want to see if you will insult me to my face the way you insult people on this board with your big mouth. But you don't do it to people's face because you are an insecure chickensh!t. I'd love to meet you in the crew lounge just to see who you are, although I...

PM from Bill Lundberg Tough guy? Hey tough guy.... Throttle back with the face-to-face talk. You are all about huffing and puffing behind a keyboard, so cut the BS and hike up your skirt Nancy. __________________ Bill, You're insulting, ignorant and have a brain defect. No need to PM me...

    Delta reduction

No, I didn't say that, you idiot. I am an American with siblings and ancestors that fought in defense of Canada and the United States. I would like to meet you face to face, you degenerate POS. ...eh? Your probably wear carpet on your head and around your mouth.

    Delta reduction

Growing up in Canada, I became accustomed to lackluster healthcare. 36 hour waits in the ER, or waiting a year for an MRI? How about driving your family around in a Yaris because the gas is too expensive? Oh, and good luck finding a decent flying job. The safety net is just above ground level...

    Delta

The latest is Delta won't hire until late 2013. But even they're telling us that can change.

    787 in UAL Colors

I think Northwest has some on order.

You're a kind of sharp tool yourself.

    Delta TA Vote NO leverage

They can't cost that much more than a crj900. My point was that I'd rather see 70 crj1000s on at mainline than 70 more crj 900s at the regionals.

    Delta TA Vote NO leverage

Your hopes are well founded. I was trying to be sarcastic.

    Delta TA Vote NO leverage

OMG, a CRJ1000 with 86 seats in 2 class config at mainline? Never. We are above that.

    Delta TA on SCOPE

There are a lot of Delta people who are thinking the same way. The DPA now has 5/6 the required cards for a vote. Also, few people seem to mention the value that in-sourcing gives our company. Instead of being restricted to 76 seats, the company could trade 50s for crj1000s or C-series in any...

    Delta TA on SCOPE

My point is that if the company is going to buy 70 new crj900s anyways, the crj1000 probably only costs a little more and has lower seat mile costs. Those lower seat mile costs could partially cover the higher pilot costs. The C series would have even lower seat mile costs.

    Delta TA on SCOPE

General, Thanks for taking the time to disect the TA and provide your insight. I tend to agree with you that 76 seaters can't be as efficiently flown at mainline. But, let's think outside the box, for a second. If we trade 50s for bigger Bombardiers to be flown at mainline, they won't be 76...

    Delta TA on SCOPE

Cry me a river. Update your logbook and start applying. Majors will be hiring bigtime. This is better for pilots in general including you.

    Delta TA on SCOPE

I just can't bring myself to vote yes. Small pay rate increases would be easier to accept if they left profit sharing alone. ALV+ 15 for reserves, would be acceptable if it was optional. More 76 seaters would be acceptable if they came to mainline. There are just a few too many concessions...
