    Surviving red eyes

Thanks guys. Good stuff. I will try some of what was suggested (except the towel/balls idea...interesting but not how I roll ). I'm talking about the east to west late night, and then all day layover, leave late back to east coast into the early hours.

    Surviving red eyes

How do you guys force yourself to sleep during the day after a late flight followed by a red eye the next night? I lay around all day trying to force myself to sleep after having slept from the night before. It's stressful and makes for an exhausting return leg.

Why is AT&T losing its pilots?

Sadly, this happens a lot. Same exact thing happened when Alpha took over Massey Energy. Too many lawyers and managers think they know everything about running the flight department and everyone has to make sure their buddy's guys are taken care of in spite of the guys who have been there forever...

Dang dude...talk about a downer. It isn't like a ton of places are knocking down my door. I'm doing the best that I can...

    If I get screwed again....

Left to drown in the Netjets pool back in, what, 2008? And now the JetBlue pool...if this one flushes, I may go back to male stripping.

Cessna 414 / Piper Navajo pay

I get $350-450 a day depending on the client in a 421. Meals are on top of that. This is in the mid-atlantic.

    80 kt call out

I am enjoying reading everyone's thoughts as well. I do have to question the folks who talk about "high speed aborts." An abort prior to or at V1 is not a high speed abort. After V1 is considered a high speed abort. If you have done proper performance calculations for your given conditions and...

    80 kt call out

That is what you THINK. It is not true. It has been shown in the SIM and I have seen it over and over again with many students. If given the failure (between 80 kts and V1) and you simultaneously make your go/no-go decision and the failure is also immediately removed, most pilots can't tell you...

    80 kt call out

One of the most once intresting things I have seen/learned over the years in several aircraft types and in the training department is that just about all pilots are not able to distinguish between failure TYPES in the small amount of time there is between 80kts and v1. So to sit there and say...

    Training Agreement for Contract Pilot

Since you have already received the training, why don't you send THEM a contract? Write it up to your liking touching on all the things you did the handshake on. I think you are in a GREAT position.

    Jet Blue Application

I am thinking about trying out this ignore function....hum.

    MESA or JB

No. Because if you had the ability to pay in cash you wouldn't be paying the same price as you would by financing it at 0%....therefore you are paying less upfront and now you have more money to put somewhere useful. You said it yourself earlier...they will get theirs one way or the other.
