    Current JB upgrade times

Yes, last bid I believe the seniority percentages were around 67% for A320 and 72% for E190. Today it was 72% for A320 and 76% for E190. The junior CA positions are in JFK. Not many people bid for those since JFK has the largest % of commuters (upwards of 60% I believe).

    AA 767 burst tires.

Whats that saying about needing full power to taxi to the gate? :D

    Junior Bases

NYC is usually a pretty junior base for every airline that has it.

    JB rumors

I dont have as much experience dealing with different airline seats as you do, but is there a large difference between an Airbus A320 slimline seat width as opposed to a current jetblue Airbus A320 seat width? The only thing changing with the new cabin interior will be the seat pitch (about 1"...

    JB rumors

    Pilot totals from some old seniority lists: Jan 2011: 2080 (Jan 1 JB operated 160 airframes- 115 A320, 45 E190) July 2011: 2186 Jan 2012: [missing pilot total] (169 airframes- 120 A320, 49 E190) July 2012: 2334 Jan 2013: 2371 (180 airframes- 127 A320, 53 E190) July 2013: 2472 Jan 2014: 2610...

    JB rumors

It is a gamble on your future career. Either roll the dice and hope for continued growth at JetBlue, or go to a legacy and hope that retirement age never increases. They are both risky bets...

    JB rumors

12/15/15 airbuses for 2015-2017. At 15 pilots per plane that's 630 more pilots for growth. I'll be a bit surprised if we hit 4000 by the end of 2017, but I hope it happens

    Any Jetblue calls?

For the year there have been 71 pilots who left JetBlue as of 10/19/14 (according to the unofficial 'Where did they go' thread on BP). I believe the company projected 100 leaving this year for attrition.

    Any Jetblue calls?

We still have 24 E190 deliveries planned for 2020 and beyond. Embraer wont be making the current version of the E190 then, so they would assumedly be E2 versions. IF we take those deliveries i bet it will be to replace/downsize the current fleet. Analysts think we should only have 30 E190s in...

    JetBlue hiring.

1 year or less (as long as you get the A320, 2-year equip lock for newhires)

    Blue Pilots Forum

There is some good info on there, but there is also a lot of BS. I just avoid reading any topic when it goes beyond 2 pages. That's when it usually devolves into complete crap. The more pilots we can get onto BP the more opinions/view points which will level out the 10% jackwagons who hate...

DL shuttle to 717 on BOS flights

Dont you think the grand plan is for DL to have all of their flights operating from the same terminal? At some point we will see some of the LCCs move to the MAT (NK/F9/VX/B6/WN/WS) so they can clear up main terminal space for DL and AA/US.

DL shuttle to 717 on BOS flights

Is there any possibility of converting the rest of the shuttle flights (LGA-DCA/ORD) to 717s as well? Seems smart to move the flight to terminal c so they could pull a few connecting pax as well.

    JetBlue hiring.

The window is closed? Still looks active from this: https://careers.peopleclick.com/careerscp/Client_JetBlue/external_flightops/jobDetails.do?functionName=getJobDetail&jobPostId=2632&localeCode=en-us

    JetBlue hiring.

Yes, JB pilots can sit in the FA jumpseat. ORD-BOS might be easier than ORD-JFK, since you'd probably be using LGA for more frequent service. Check passrider.com for an idea if who flies what times.

Decade long rumor of SWA buying Q400's back

It would be your group. You, waveflyer, could bid to fly the Q400 and transfer to the Horizon certificate. You would have to go through a new indoc course in addition to systems training. You could then bid to transfer back to the SWA certificate and fly the 737. All Horizon and SWA pilots would...

Decade long rumor of SWA buying Q400's back

Would it be allowed if the pilots were on the SWAPA seniority list and operated under a separate section of the SWAPA contract? Kind of like when NWA set up Compass.

    Frontier and Spirit

Exactly. As it stands now NK has no natural competition in the market and they can go wherever they want throwing cheap fares and gaining share. At some point the NK labor groups will want a bigger piece of that profit (rightfully so) and there won't be any reason NK mgmt can't give it to them...
