    Virgin America financials.

Virgin America is closing the doors any day now! They wont be around in a month! Everyone get out while you can! The ship is taking on water at an alarming rate! Wait. Haven't we been hearing this for 5 1/2 years now? I find it interesting that so many are hell bent on others...

JetBlue control problem over Vegas yesterday?

With no loss of electrical I doubt the RAT had to be deployed. I am not sure what JB uses for wait time. But we use 3 min after 2nd engine start before we can takeoff.

JetBlue control problem over Vegas yesterday?

Pretty easy to be a Monday QB. With the loss of the Yellow and Green system, you get no reversers, no braking except approx 7 applications of the parking brake, no nose wheel steering, and only 1 spoiler per wing. That would have been pretty brutal being overweight in LAS.

    Need some Virgin America Info...

Damn!!!!! I should have gone to a legacy carrier so I could wait 9 more years to make what I make now. What was I thinking? Fwiw there is another 12 year payscale coming out for us next month. Trust me, we are slowly but surely working our way up to where it needs to be.

lol Fubu isn't very good at math. I averaged just under 90 hours of credit/month plus sold back 3 weeks of vacation. I did ok all things considered.

Virgin America Reports Losses Second Quarter 2011 Financial Results

First Qtr - The airline ended the quarter with $25 million in unrestricted cash and $54 million in total liquidity. Second Qtr - The airline ended the quarter with $26 million in unrestricted cash and $53 million in total liquidity. How does that happen with a $21.7 million loss? Makes you...

Delta 747 captain dies in airshow crash. RIP

Very sad thing. Bryan will definitely be missed. Pretty obvious that the Lomcevak degraded into an inverted spin followed by a secondary stall/upright spin. There is some speculation as to whether or not he may have blown a rudder cable. No matter what the cause was, definitely a sad day for...

    Skywest denial

I'm guessing here but I imagine that you are "overqualified" for the position. They assume that as soon as you get current and have a chance to jump ship you will be gone. I am sure they feel they will get more out of their investment in a lower time pilot.
