    Glock 23 for $399......

    H&K ended their pilot offer, but I found out Glock is offering 23's (.40 cal) for $399 for all pt 121 pilots. Thought I'd spread the good word. Check with your gun dealer.

    I spoke to a few jB pilots a while back and they said they were supposed to start hiring in November. I can't get on APC.com to find out if they are or not, so I was wondering if any jetBlue guys would like to chime in. TIA

    I was in the CVG crew room this morning and overheard a few guys talking about this new rule that's being implemented in October. Reserves will no longer be scheduled 6 days on with 1 day off. The max will be 5 days on with a min of 2 days off in a row. This was the first I've heard about it...

    Airport layouts...

    Thought you guys in this section might have a better answer for this. When building a new airport, how do they decide which runways they're going to have? I was thinking they would go off which winds prevail in that area, then go from there. Anyone here have a more accurate reason? Thanks, Rick

    Convair Cargo in CVG....

    Last night I hitched a ride home with ABX into CVG. When we got there, I saw what looked like a Convair 580 on the ramp, white fuselage with great big lettering that said "CARGO" down the side. Anyone here knows who operates that plane? Thanks, Rick

    In the message last night, Bendo mentioned that they will have to "adjust staffing" in the fall. Guys in recurrent are saying SB said upwards of 200 guys getting furloughed in the fall. That will bring Comair down to about 900 pilots. Thats over 500 guys on the street. How much flying is...
