I used to work the wiggins UPS ramp back in 2000. To my knowledge all they had was 208's (FedEx) and 99's (UPS). Are they expanding now?

Anyone know if one has to purchase a special ID90 if traveling on Ted or do you just purchase an ID90 on United mainline? I know you can't purchase a United ID90 and then fly on Skywest, for example, just wondering if the United/Ted thing is the same ID90.

Does airtran still do internal hiring? I flew with a guy, about 12 months ago, doing some recurrency training before his ground school date, that had about 1200 TT and 200 multi, no turbine, and got hired as a pilot. He was a ramp manager (I believe) prior to moving to the flying.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you apply for a job, and that prospective employer calls your current and/or past employers, those current/past employers can't specfically recommend or not recommend someone, correct?
I.e. you work for company A and want to work for company B, and apply...
Flew with an aerial photographer the other day on contract from Jetblue for the approach ends of the runways at MCO. From what I could gather the pictures would be dignitized and thrown in their new Level D ERJ sims.
I heard something awhile ago that they were considering buy ERJ's but I guess...
Any one have info or currently fly for them? Seems like a awesome, stable company with a small flight department (well I guess large by 91 standards).
I might have something coming up with them in the future if the news keeps getting better.

My eventual goal is southwest, but I've heard that a lot of airnet guys go there after getting into the lear for a few years.
Is this true, and should I be basing my next decision on getting into airnet if southwest is where I want to reside?
thanks
