turbine recurrent on no-motion FTD ?

This came up as a form of "hangar talk" the other day. Please send me the regs (if any) which back me up It was asked if turbine recurrent, such as B-350 annual recurrent, now conducted at FlightSafety, could be "fulfilled" by conducting "sessions" on a non-motion fixed Flight Training...

    Proline 21 help

Question about differing Transition Levels and Altitudes

Transition Level - L for Level L for LOCAL ALTIMETER below this Transition Altitude - A for Altitude A for ABOVE this is 29.92

    Proline 21 help

Disagree. I had maybe 2500 HRS EFIS-85 time and GNS-XLS time in B350 and it took a solid 100 HRS in P-21 B350 to finally be able to relax. Maybe I am retarded. Did I say 100 HRS ?

Express Jet last flight @ TLC

losing a USA connection out of TLC is a big deal. They have Spirit to FLL and DFW and Interjet to San Antonio. With United Express pulling out, 25% reduction in US flights just occurred. Toluca was a great way to access Toluca itself and west side of Mexico City

JetBlue CEO on pilot’s mid-air meltdown: ‘It started medical, but clearly wasn’t’

Google news states pilot will claim insanity.

    401K options at your airline

does a "market" exist for a professional (not snake oil salesman) CFP or financial advisor targeting the airline pilot marketplace? I say yes, but wanted to ask. The reason I ask is that this is something I am thinking about doing, in my retired-after-pilot-career. I have even reviewed CFP...

JetBlue CEO on pilot’s mid-air meltdown: ‘It started medical, but clearly wasn’t’

Yes and yelling "fire" in a crowded movie theater is allowed also. Freedom of expression, of course.

JetBlue CEO on pilot’s mid-air meltdown: ‘It started medical, but clearly wasn’t’

That will be up to judge, and only if prosecutor comes to judge asking for it to be dropped. Possible, yes. Likely ? probably 50/50 chance. remember, this ended with no innocent lives hurt/lost. what would have happened if they crashed into a field, nose down, because the Captain acted up...

Again, "good job" to the FO. Well done.

JetBlue CEO on pilot’s mid-air meltdown: ‘It started medical, but clearly wasn’t’

I didn't know the FO's actions was this hard to understand.

JetBlue CEO on pilot’s mid-air meltdown: ‘It started medical, but clearly wasn’t’

Yes I agree. And I will be the first to state that maybe a medical or mental health issue affected an otherwise good guy, and led to this. Good luck to him

JetBlue CEO on pilot’s mid-air meltdown: ‘It started medical, but clearly wasn’t’

    1. FO appears to have used every resource at his disposal, to include a Captain in the back. Good job. 2. The Captain meets the criminal code for interference of a flight crew, as he is an individual. http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/49/46504 3. A federal judge, reviewed the...

JetBlue CEO on pilot’s mid-air meltdown: ‘It started medical, but clearly wasn’t’

In any event, I and probably most of us wish the Captain luck as indeed some mental/medical issues may be at play here. Not saying it absolves him of accountability but there may be more to the story. Lets see what plays out. Good luck guys
