2-9-10 7pm: UPDATE: Delta, US Airways May Drop Planned Landing Slot Swap

Sorry, The consumer is already paying less for seats in today's $$ than 10 years ago. There is no brand loyalty they just want to fly cheaply. Sell the slots/gates to the highest bidder and we'll see what the market will bear.

    Dal ae

Perhaps where it intersects with I-35?

Delta is getting ready to hire!!!

There were also a number of guys on the DAL-S side that were never given a class date. I would think they would get some of the first interviews.
  4. D

    Delta interview?

Isn't it great to actually be talking about hiring though? With all of the doom and gloom these past 15 months or so, it's good to see a ray of sunshine. Glass half full

The General's girlfriend may get to wear the red dress after all

Here's a demo of a pair of size 24 pants. I can't imagine something that size helping PAX. I can imagine no Twix bars for anyone but... http://www.foxnews.com/video/index.html?playerId=videolandingpage&streamingFormat=FLASH&referralObject=6851783&referralPlaylistId=search|meme%20roth

Obama Signs Orders to Help Unions

Yeah, but let's make sure the cure isn't worse than the disease.

    DL CRJs

Agreed, it should be flown, maintained, dispatched etc by DAL employees. Like it or not, the pax don't see the word 'connection'. They blame us for the things that go wrong anyway so let's bring the whole enchilada under our roof.

Delta 73N B Reserve in CVG...

Would sleep better if they'de reopen the DFW base.

Delta 73N B Reserve in CVG...

Yes, There were 7 of us(CVG 73N) in that class - none survived the MD.

Delta 73N B Reserve in CVG...

I got displaced from the NG and go to training in Feb, but the trips are great and don't be surprised if a bunch of CVG 7ER FOs get bumped out and decide to go for the 73 since most live in the area and will do anything to stay. PM me if you have more questions.

Can anyone understand "problems" with NWA's seniority list?

Yeah, But we can't read about it until today.

    NWA wants DOH

We don't have any 200 or 300 737s. We have the 800 and 700 (the few not being held hostage by the Boeing strike).

    NWA/DAL Arbitration hearing

He said mostly the same thing at the opening of the case in CA. It is best for both to be able to negotiate a list rather than have one forced upon us.

    NWA wants DOH

By doing it this way, wouldn’t we be creating two separate lists? Basically repeating the failed history of the red book/green book issue that so divided NWA for 20+ years. The only way we ever truly merge is to become one “global” airline. I’m sure after the arbitrators get done, we’ll all...

    I'm done. (NWA/DAL)

I'm curious why the NWA argument only recognizes DAL's 777s as widebody or premium widebody or "super" premium widebody flying. Why do the 767ERs or 767-400s not count? Looking at the A330 variants they are comparable in seating etc and according to sources the A330 was designed to be...

    I'm done. (NWA/DAL)

25 years? No wonder red book/green book lasted so long. Get a grip. Control what you can and deal with what you can't; holding long term grudges will solve nothing.

Any idea why the other two didn't make it? Was it the Knowledge test, Cog test, interview or the dreaded shrink?

No LASIK Buddy of mine is a Navy Opthamologist and has said that the Navy's policy is OK on PRK but no go for Lasik. His explanation was along the lines of the sliced eye not really healing the incision completely. He even went on to say people who sky dive after Lasik are risking the flap...

    Majors

Aerospace Engineering Just putting 2 cents in for the engineers. Having said that, I can tell you that the Navy's program is actually designed for the non-technical major. They even told us AE types that what we were about to be taught was wrong but learn it their way! While I was teaching...
