    New World Aviation

All the planes have different pay/sched. Would be up to the new crew to negotiate their pay and qol when hired. Same as any small mid-size management company.

    SHA hiring in Morristown...again

I only miss living in short hills ;).

    Hawker Parking Brake Question

I used to think the Hawker system was just like any other Jet but it's actually master-slave-high pressure master-slave with a bar of sorts going across the servo rack to depress all of the high pressure masters at once hence the "parking" position. It would be great to see the unit out of the...

    Coffee Creamers

Can't beat the real stuff. Fresh brewed and fresh half n half. No FBO coffee or non dairy.

Talon Air Article - New Hawker 4000. Good Place to Be?

Saw a couple talon aircraft for sale online. Heard some folks laid off. Fly to Europe within one hour, live in LI...no thanks, sounds like a wonderful place mr. Kauffman.

    Segrave/Pegasus Elite Aviation in NC?

Dunno dude, his rant sure sounds a lot like the substantiated feedback i've heard around the FBO's. And I too have a friend that said they lie to you in the interview and keep you on the road until you're so overdue to come home that you nearly quit. Oh, and the pay blows, but who can complain...

    Learjet 45 crashes in Telluride

Anyone remember when the last accident was up there? It seems the Aspen accidents have made us all very aware going in there but not much going on in KTEX in comparison. My boss like to go there every now and then and it's a vfr gig for us.

    Bonanza Wreck LOU

this crap happened up in the aby-buf route back in early 2000's. It was interesting to see spanking brand new boots and working prop de-ice on the 310's up there following the fatal crash in a field with full fire, hospital, death. Such a dam shame to see the totally visable learning curve the...

Nice mu-2 pics man. I miss that thing, it's so...lovingly demanding.

    Concorde video

it's from the vhs video they sell at Sportys, two videos and over three hours of footage if I remember correctly.

    Hawker Pay Scale

Well, there's a guy doing it for 80k and there's another doing it for 200k. Gotta really feel them out and make sure they're realistic about keeping a chief pilot around. 6-7 aircraft is a big workload and you should be compensated along the lines of the NBAA survey. Most folks I know...

    Finders Fee?

I've done this before. Try to strike a deal aligning everyone's interests. If the charter revenue deal is 85/15% break it down 85/10/5% owner/management co./yourself. Another pilot I know gets $400 a day additional salary when he flys charter on the aircraft. When added to his base beechjet...

GM & Ford Flight Departments 86'd

And the irony in it all, they went from 91 dept to charter clients now. The only thing that's going to change is the asset side of the balance sheet folks. Shame that the cost was two entire flight departments.

    FTC Private Air Terminal Morristown...BEWARE

Same logic for us. Especially when the owner dosn't care what the FBO looks like. If it's so bad that I can't be in it I spend the $36 an hour on the APU and watch movies in the plane...

    FTC Private Air Terminal Morristown...BEWARE

Unfortunately Alex owns the place pretty much so he's gonna tell you to f off if he feels like it. They get plenty of avantair business there. He's also a mechanic so you might want to think twice about really pissing him off, most mechanics know how to put a lean on the plane and chain it...

    Millville Jet Center....on Ebay

Now last I saw the whole Millville Jet Center thing was a major selling point in Worldwide's pitch to prospective aircraft owners. Wonder what Cliff will try selling next?

    Safest Charter Companies

The Hawker accident, yes. Unfortunately, no I can't provide further information. However, as a member of the flying community around here I can say definitively that that particular operator did not "get it" Last I heard they lost a court battle with ARG/US and pilots lost jobs. I've been...

    Safest Charter Companies

couldn't agree with you more. A "platinum" operator just killed several in a hawker two months ago...how that company got the rating, well I think we all know how that worked.

BizJet Deliveries about to peak? What say you, Honeywell?

definitely slow, charter is slow at numerous operators and so many of the open positions have closed up that we're all sitting tight here in TEB
