45 minutes to the CLT parking lot. 2800 square feet; 4.5 acres. 200K.

But..but..but, Airline pilots should make $400K per year minimum! That's what it would be if you took the pay in the 70's and factored in inflation :bawling: Seriously though, perspective is a perfect word. I'm by far probably the highest paid guy in my small church (and I'm making the lowest...

    US Airways is finally dead...

I'm not really sure what you are trying to say. I was hired after the US/AWA merger and from where I'm standing it didn't look like a smart battle to drag out all these years. That being said: As of December 9th, we are working under some of AA's contract with the rest to be phased in "as soon...

    US Airways is finally dead...

You said in your original post: That scum bag Parker will be more than happy to keep the pilots pissed and separated. I predict no contract, keep all the growth at AA which will keep them quiet...East keeps there attrition, keeps them quiet. West is now the vast minority, they get screwed...

    US Airways is finally dead...

Exactly why the majority of analysts said this merger was the best plan of reorganization for AA.

    US Airways is finally dead...

Sounds like to don't have the slightest clue concerning anything that's been negotiated between the three parties in the last year.

    AA pot-stir

It is what it is. I don't know the specifics of first year pay at the other airlines you mentioned. I also wouldn't rule out the possibility of first year pay coming up in the near future as a result of a joint contract. If first year pay is a high priority of someone looking to move on then it...

    AA pot-stir

I think this looks pretty close to current rates: http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/airlines/legacy/american_airlines For rates in 2016 look at Delta or United's page since AA will be an average of both.

So true. How many times do we have to have a conversation about the effect of 12 months pay on what is usually a career of several decades?

    Latest on usair?

If the company has been setting the long call/ short call ratio on their own for years I don't suspect they will change it until the new scheduling provisions are implemented.

    Latest on usair?

I think you are speaking of current east contract rules, right?

    Latest on usair?

It's my understanding our scheduling rules will change when we get PBS and PBS won't arrive until 2015. This is from the scheduling chairman. Personally, I'm a bit skeptical that nothing at all regarding scheduling will be touched for a over a year.

SWA today like the airline in the book, "Nuts!"?

Why are Fresno and Ft. Myers not getting along?

Delta the Least Respected Brand in America

After scanning the article I'm skeptical that any other airline was included. Since the average customer expects to get from point a to point b in any weather condition within 30 seconds of scheduled arrival time 100% of the time, with a free steak dinner, for no more than $200, it doesn't...

US Airways Q2 Profit $402 Mil

If it's not East/West discussion hijacking a thread it's SW/Airtran or UAL/CAL. What can you do?

US Airways Q2 Profit $402 Mil

I was thinking the same thing myself. Good point. Two questions however: Will the company try to use the entire year and prorate the year's profit? If not, how will the company prorate the third quarter profit if the POR happens to not fall at the last day of the quarter?

    Southwest Nose Gear Collapse LGA

http://www.cnn.com/2013/07/25/travel/southwest-laguardia/index.html Washington (CNN) -- The Southwest Airlines jet that crash landed at New York's LaGuardia airport on Monday met the runway with its nose gear first, according to federal accident investigators. The unusual landing configuration...
