    Been hearing rumours that Atlas (5Y) will start pilot furloughs effective 01 Jan 09. Maybe 48 pilots out on the street. Anyone have any info to support this. The company is being really hush hush about the whole thing.

    I have heard that Emirates puts you through a pretty intensive medical eval. after the interview. Can anyone shed some light as to what they make you do? (i.e: blood pressure, EKG/ECG or an EEG exam, hearing etc etc...) And how does it compare to a US medical eval. Any info will help.
