You know not of what you speak. The arbitration that will take place over the violation of CAL's scope clause is not binding. It is just expedited arbitration. An arbitrator is not a judge. Because of CAL mgmt's crafty wording of their "interpretation" of the contract this is categorized as... -

You mean when he loses that arbitration, chooses to continue anyway and then is told by a judge to take those flights out of the computer. -

The hire dates that show for them on the CAL seniority list reflect their COEX date of hire, but their order on the seniority list is by their CAL date of hire. -

Correct, the pay issue does not have to be connected to the SLI. Just like the 'status and catagory' of furloughed pilots hired by the other airline as covered in the transition agreement, an SLI arbitrator will not change anything that has already been agreed to by both parties. SO, if both... -

JNC scope proposal was passed to mgmt a couple of weeks ago. As of Fri, two sections have yet to be passed but no word on what they are. (compensation is probably one of them as it had not been passed as of the update two weeks ago) Should be interesting to see what mgmt turns back to us with... -
